Sparky's Story...
Sparky is a senior boxer mix whose family dumped him at a high kill shelter. After his years of loving devotion and Sparky of looking after his family, they took him for a ride in the car and walked him right into a shelter. Can you imagine how condused he must have been when his family walked out that door without him? We will never understand how his family could do that to him. But luckily we were able to get Sparky safely out of the shelter and into a foster. Sparky is still waiting for a family that will let him live out his golden years with them. He is an oldie, but a goodie. Sparky loves kids, gets along great with other dogs and some kitties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Winchester Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
