My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our boy Bert is missing his little buddy Ernie – is that you?

Foster Location: Boise, ID

Bert is a 4 month old Border Collie mix that is in need of a new home that will understand his need for soft words and easy handling. He is a super sweet boy with a gentle soul who just needs people who will love him for who he is for the rest of his life.

Bert is great with other dogs and likes to run and play; but isn’t overly hyper and active like most Border Collie’s. There seems to be little to no working drive in this boy; just the need to play, be happy and be with his people. He is also good with cats and would be happy to live with them. Bert would do best living with another dog friendly confident dog that he can learn from.

Bert is good with kids and adults alike but does need to be in a home where he will get lots of positive enforcement; loud voices scare him silly. But a gentle hand, lots of pets and loves and he is your best friend in the world. We would strongly recommend a positive re-enforcement puppy class for this boy so he gains confidence and will be well adjusted.

As with most Border Collie’s he is one smart pup. He is house trained and crate trained already and is working on sit and come. Some treats and lots of “Good Boy”’s will do the trick with him.
Bert has received his first 2 sets of puppy vaccinations and has been de-wormed. Due to his age he has not yet been neutered. The adoptive family will be required to sign a neuter agreement and pay a $100 neuter deposit which will be refunded upon proof of neuter at 6 months of age.

There is a $50 adoption fee for Bert.

If you can offer Bert a life full of love, stability and lots of family time then please fill out an adoption application at: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
