My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dusty is an adorable Pomeranian/Spaniel mix, just 2 years old and weighs 13lbs. We believe he is blind in one eye and may have a slight cataract in the other. Rescued in the nick of time, he was shaking and bolting when we first rescued him, but he is gaining confidence and feeling more secure with his foster. We are working with the vet to see what options we have for his vision. He is nervous around strangers, both men and women, but especially men. His foster reports: he's being walked 3 times a day and waiting. He is a super mellow dog and will walk right next to you. He is well behaved when left alone except for howling at 1st as does have separation anxiety that is being worked with; Dusty can be protective of his food and toys towards dogs and people and is learning to share but needs further guidance. Also, he doesn't like his paws touched, etc and would do best in a home without kids and with more experienced dog owners.

Foster update: Dusty doesn't need to be watched 100% but is not fully potty trained and does have separation anxiety. He shouldn't be left home alone all day. His blindness only affects him when walking (sometimes bumps into things and should be careful around stairs). Otherwise he is pretty near normal and it is helpful to call out to him to let him know where you are.

Dusty is super mellow and loves nothing more than to lay next to his person and get belly rubs. He is very easy and takes bathes perfectly as well as walks nicely on leash. He even does well off leash. He would be good to bring to work but I would just make sure to take him potty regularly to avoid accidents.

Little Dusty needs some extra TLC- are you ready to give this little guy the life he deserves?
