Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy, there! Little Milo here. Unfortunately, I’ve had a bit of a “ruff” time since I arrived at rescue in the summer of 2013. I have been adopted out twice (one time for several months) … and returned twice. Although I’m downright adorable, my manners aren’t quite as cute. You see, my original human(s) never spent any time with me. They didn’t teach me pack dynamics, basic commands or socialization with other dogs. As a result, I can be dominant/protective over and of certain family members, am a little bit of a wild child, and do not like other dogs. And cats? Don’t even get me started!
We’re not giving up hope, though. We know the right person/family is out there for me – one who knows about Jack Russells and the importance of showing me (in a positive way) that you are alpha. That way, I can finally settle down and become the sweet dog that I was born to be. In short, you’ll have to be a trainer or promise to take me to training sessions. I will need that one-on-one attention and guidance to make my third home my final one. No more returns for me!
Aside from behavioral problems, I’m a healthy little man (only about 3 years old) and very smart. I know I can learn and focus, if I can just find someone willing to give me that direction.
