My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota is one of the sweetest little girls who comes from a very unfortunate situation. For the first ten months of her life she was alone on the streets of Houston, Texas, fighting for her life, not getting the puppy life she deserved. She was finally brought in through animal control, but that didn't brighten up her future very much once she was stuck in an extremely high kill shelter and put on a list to be euthanized, for the sole reason of overpopulation in the city. Luckily our Farfel's rescuers saw her potential and got her out of that shelter and sent her on her way to Colorado.

Now Dakota is living with her new foster family in Boulder, CO learning how to be the puppy she never got to be. At ten months old she is finally learning how to play with the other dogs and becoming more and more confident. Dakota has such a big heart and can't wait to get curl up with her forever family and get lots of pets and love.

She is a very gentle girl who would do fine with older kids and would love an active family that will take her hiking, running, for long walks, etc. She likes other dogs, but is nervous around them still and is still learning how to play instead of having her food taken away like when she was a stray for the start of her life. An older, or little more calmer dog would do great with her!

Dakota is currently living in a foster home and we are currently taking applications and setting up meet and greets for her!
