My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rain is a 3.5 year old female purebred Border Collie, black and white rough coat, traditionally marked and absolutely beautiful. Rain came to rescue as an Owner Relinquishment from people who just couldn't devote the time needed for her.
Rain is your A-typical Border Collie, full of energy and needs a job to keep her busy, mentally and physically. Rain has a bit of OCD which needs to be controlled before it gets out of hand. She is not the dog for a first time BC owner and needs to be in a Border Collie savvy home for her to succeed in life. Rain loves to play fetch and gets along with other dogs and wants to play with them. Rain is a real sweetheart with humans and is not intimidated by men. She is very smart and learns quickly. Rain knows "sit", "come" and is good on a leash and is crate trained. She also rides well in a vehicle. Rain is also a water dog and loves to get in the kiddie pools at her foster home. I would not recommend Rain to a home with cats or small children. She will need a fairly large yard so she can run around on her own when not with the family or another dog.
Rain does show herding tendencies and would probably test well on livestock. Her foster mom has not had the chance to do so yet as she only came into rescue on Sunday, June 8.
Rain is being fostered in San Diego County.
