Catalina's Story...
Catalina and her siblings were found in a yard when they were only 3 days old. We think mom was trying to move them when she got spooked. We waited for mom to return but sadly she didn’t. The kittens were packed up and sent to a foster home to be bottle fed. They are now 5 ½ weeks old and doing great. Catalina will be available for adoption after July 3rd when she will be 8 weeks old. She can be put on hold now with an approved adoption application and deposit. DOB 4-27-14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Catalina, a Geneseo Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
