Please Share - Chicago, IL - Jake and Leo Need a Loving Home Together
Leo and Jake are a pair of delightfully sweet Border Collie-mixes looking for a loving guardian – preferably together. Leo looks like he’s mixed with Sheltie, and Jake is mixed with Aussie.
These boys were dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control when their human mom could no longer care for them. She was seen sobbing hysterically as she gave them up.
Sadly when they were brought to the shelter, Leo, who is about five years old and 31 pounds, was sent to the adoption floor and his best friend Jake, who is about ten years old and 74 pounds, was put on the euthanasia list due to his age. Luckily a caring volunteer saw the scene and took them both home!
Their foster mom reports that these boys are absolute gems with wonderful dispositions. They are bonded to each other, but also full of kisses and tail wags for people of all ages and other dogs. They have proven perfectly housebroken, great on stairs, walks on leash, great in the yard and in the car. They sleep on the floor in their foster mom’s bedroom.
