RAVEN's Story...
Raven is a 7 week old puppy weighing who is 5 pounds on June 14th. She was born in our care on May 3rd. Her mom is on our website, her name is Shadow. She is a good girl in the car. She did great in the crate during the travel time. Around the house, she is curious about her surroundings. After a long day, she goes into her crate and she quickly falls asleep. She sleeps through the night with no problems. We play in the house and outdoors. She loves to explore everything around her. She likes her outside time and enjoys smelling all her surroundings or rolling in the grass. She loves playing with her toys. We had some friends over and she enjoyed playing with everyone. So far she is mainly going to the bathroom outside or on a training pad, very few accidents for such a young baby. Here is another video for you, copy and paste this link:

UPDATE: Today she explored the house and was very curious about everything in the home. She is playful and loves to play with all her toys and all her visitors. She loves your attention. When outside she loves to run and explore. After play time she enjoys a nice nap in her crate. She continues to go to the bathroom on training pads or outdoors. When tired she enjoyed a good cuddle. She is doing well.

UPDATE: Raven is doing great. During the day she does well in the crate while I am at work for a few hours. She is a happy puppy willing to explore the world around her both indoors and outdoors. She was really well behaved with the children who just met her, played with her. She enjoyed running around with them. She is a baby, and learning the rules as she gets more and more freedom around the home. She is still looking to please us at the same time. What good girl!

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously! Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RAVEN, a West Milford Dachshund/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle puppy from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
