Walden's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Walden's Story...
Don't be fooled by Walden's white face. He is a very young 8 year old, full of energy and very active. My own oldest Dachshund is 18, so Walden is far from being a senior. He uses a doggy door and is very well behaved in the house. He gets along with some dogs but is selective. He loves to carry around a soft toy and usually runs to get one when it is time to go to bed. Walden wants to be where his people are and doesn't like to be locked away from them when they are home. He will sleep in a crate or a doggy bed, if that is preferred but wants it in his humans' bedroom. He is very affectionate, loves walks and rides in the car. He really is a great companion. Not a nuisance barker.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walden, a Tucson Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
