My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orchid is a 2 year old, 40 pound, female, predominantly pointer mix. The black and white chaos of her lustrous coat- beautiful, healthy and low care, brings to mind a box of dominoes dropped and jumbled on the floor. Her crystal amber eyes, the color of well steeped tea, hint at a playfulness and a mischievousness that life's disappointments have not stifled.

With calm and deliberate movements, Orchid is gentle and sweet with the 2 year old preschooler in her foster home, and she mixes easily and effortlessly with the resident dogs.

Her past life at the animal shelter is a coat that she has checked at the door. Orchid is no longer a shrinking wall flower, but rather her personality is blossoming and she has learned to be an active and engaged part of her foster family.
