My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Monte is an affectionate, attentive guy who is wonderfully food-motivated and a very polite leash walker. He cuddles like a champ and would likely do well in a home with other gentle, friendly animals like him.

Poor Monte has had kind of a rough go of it and although a fabulous dog when outside with you, he's not doing so well here in the kennels. He has a lot of anxiety associated with being confined and can pretty much climb or dig out of any outdoor enclosure. So for right now he's spending an unusual amount of time inside, but we'd like to see that change and send him home with a loving, patient person who can make him feel comfortable and safe again. He needs to be walked on a harness (included with his adoption!) and he'll need to be always supervised when outdoors, at least for a while.

Ideally, we'd like to find a special someone who can take him home and stay with him for the first couple days to help him adjust and get comfortable. Monte is wonderfully responsive to people who are good at building trusting relationships. Are you ready to be Monte's savior?

Monte is house trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his vaccines. Please come and visit with this great boy.
Monte's adoption fee is $160 since he is over six months old.
