My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 1-year-old neutered male Terrier mix. I weigh about 15 pounds. I am a very sweet, loving guy with a great personality. I tend to be a little bit nervous when I first meet new people, but once I get to know someone, I totally open up. You just gotta be willing to give me a chance to shine! I'm always looking for a good snuggle and my tail never stops wagging! I'm super outgoing and playful. I can't believe that not too long ago I was about to be euthanized. You want to hear my story? It's really sad so get out your tissues. My previous family brought me into a local veterinarian after I had been hit by a car. I was in bad shape! Really bad shape! I had a broken hip socket, a broken pelvis, and I had to have the ball of my hip bone removed. When the vet gave my previous owners the estimate to repair my broken body, they were devastated. They were not in any financial situation to afford the surgeries I would need. Reluctantly, they were forced to make the tough decision to euthanize me. Luckily, the staff at the vet's office fell in love with me and decided that they would chip in to keep me for a few days while a new family could be found. So, my previous owners decided to sign over ownership to the vet. A day later I was told that CageFree was willing to take me and pay for the surgeries I needed. It was rough in the beginning. I had a huge cast on my leg, I was in a lot of pain, and I was hardly able to walk. I had to be on activity restriction for several weeks to be sure that I didn't re-injure myself. It kinda sucked, but I was able to spend a lot of time in the office with all my new friends. It's been awhile now since I had my surgeries, and let me tell you, I am feeling so much better! I am definitely ready to find my new home. I think I would love to play in the backyard, go for hikes, or visit with my friends at the dog park! I've heard that stuff is really fun. If you think I would make a great companion for you, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree! I just can't wait to start my new life. The future looks bright to me!
