My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Moon Shadow but my foster mom calls me Mr. Moonie. I am not the crabby Mr. Moonie from the I Love Lucy show. I am a very sweet, laid back cute kind of guy.
I am about 9 to 10 years of age. I am a healthy senior boy. Foster mom says I walk “pigeon toed” and she thinks that is soooo cute. Although I do have a bit of arthritis in my lower back -common for Beagles- and also who does not have arthritis as a senior.
MW BREW had me get an x-ray because my back legs seem a bit weak, but I am 100% healthy except for that bit of arthritis. I do struggle with the stairs, but I am determined to come upstairs with you. Foster mom put me on Rymadyl, and that seems to help.
I have just a few needs in life and here is my list. Just LOVE me, feed me and pet me. I love to get brushed. Other then that, I am just the best companion you will ever find. I do love my nightly walks around the block. Now if you are looking for a marathon running partner, I am NOT your guy. I walk very well on a leash and at a good pace, but half hour is my max. Then it is nap time for me. I do LOVE my naps.
I am totally potty trained. Only had one accident the first week I came here to my foster home. I have 2 foster brothers and one foster sister. I get along with them all. They also have a cat here. I just ignore her. I have to say, the female Beagle here can be a bit pushy. She thinks she owns this place and all the rest of us rent from her. Actually, I am ok with that. I just go with the flow with the other “guys” around here. Women, ya know how bossy they can be.
I do have the Beagle AROOOO. I use it when you are getting my food ready, and when you come home because I am so glad to see you. Also I will Arooo at you when you are petting and kissing me and I feel you stopped too soon. “HELLO, can you continue to pet me???
I sleep in my own fluffy doggie bed at night. I have the run of the house because I have not touched anything that is not mine. Oh yeah… need to tell you something here... I do like to get into that kitchen garbage. I am not food aggressive, but that garbage smells pretty darn yummy.
So if I sound like the best fit for you, would consider me joining your family. Contact MW BREW and fill out that application. Foster mom can fill you in on anything else you need to know about me.
Sincerely,
Mr. Moonie
