My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke was left on the side of the road to starve to death and die! He was so thin, he
weighed only 30 pounds when this lovely couple picked him up and got him immediately to the vet clinic! He had been beaten and starved, but in spite of that he was just still so sweet and loving! When this wonderful couple found him he was so weak he could not get up, so they had to pick him up off the side of the road just to get him into their vehicle! He collar that must have been put on him at a very young age had grown into his skin. It had to be remove gently and until this day there are still some visible scarring from it!

Duke regardless of all he has been through adapted and has become the most loving dog anyone could hope for. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt Duke will be getting a sweet precious dog and a wonderful addition to their family!

Duke is great with children and adults, other dogs and cats too. Duke needs lots of space to run, loves to play in the water and especially with the hose. He loves to play with tennis balls and toys. He enjoys going for walks and loves to curl up and sleep right next to you. His coat is beautiful and he enjoys being brushed, loves to eat and if you leave something cooking on the grill watch out it will be gone! LOL

Duke needs a family that can spend plenty of time with him. Give him lots of love and understand and willing to continue to work with him. He is already house trained.
