My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Beaux and I am told that I am an absolute sweetheart and that I have stunning good looks! Everyone comments on how handsome I am but I don’t let it go to my head. My sleek black coat is super soft and shiny and you will want to be petting me at all times. I am considered a brush coat Shar-pei, -4I am just getting started with my new life.

My perfect forever home might have another dog to help me adjust, but I think I would be OK as an only dog. I am a typical Shar-pei, meaning I am aloof and standoffish at first, but I do warm up and will promise to stay by your side. I am a bit sensitive and have not much opportunity to learn about the world so be patient with me and I will do just fine.

I have really nice house behavior and haven’t shown any destructive tendencies and I do not make any messes at all. I am super smart and I learn very quickly new lessons. The shelter workers are working with me on leash training and hopefully other fun stuff like sit, stay and heel. I would love a forever family who will keep teaching me new things. Maybe you can learn with me!
