My name is Maxwell Smart. I’m 9 years old and I have papers with a shiny gold circle on them – my foster mom says I’m pedigreed, whatever that means. All I know is that I’m looking for a lap to lie on and a chin to lick.

My family gave me up when they moved to a new apartment. I was sad for a while, but these days life is good and I live to wag my tail and please people. I’ve lost a couple of pounds since coming into my foster mom’s place – I am a lean, clean, machine these days. I have great house manners, I get along well with the other dog in the house, and I love people most of all. I will run right up to you! I love long walks on a leash, and I am happy just sitting in the yard.

I am not at all interested in toys. I want to be next to you on the sofa or on the bed.
