This is the Queen of Sheba!!!! Sheba is an adorable little Shiba Inu / cattle dog mix who wants to rule the roost. The most important characteristic about Sheba is that she is a true alpha. If you don't know what that means, then Sheba is not the dog for you. She will not be adopted to anyone who is not knowledgeable about the behavior characteristics of a true alpha or is a first-time or inexperienced dog owner. Sheba is very smart and needs someone who will take a firm stance with her from the beginning and not relinquish that control as time goes on. My ideal home for her would be with someone that would do agility with her. She has a lot of energy that needs to be put to positive use. She is about 35 lbs and is 4- to 4-1/2 years old. Sheba is a great dog and loves to play but will sometimes challenge other dogs for dominance. She is good with my current pack but does still challenge Feisty, who is very high-energy and similar in size but will not submit to her. Sheba is best with smaller dogs and dogs that are submissive or have a very even, non-dominant energy. Since Sheba loves to play and has tons of energy, I would like her to go to a home with other dogs, but her new peoople will have to know how to manage the dynamic between Sheba and the other dogs from the point of introduction. She is great with kids and loves my niece, who she has been around since Tristan was three. Tristan calls Sheba her best friend and even takes her to the bathroom with her! While Sheba will let Tristan maul her and love on her, she isn't a real affectionate dog. She will come to you when she wants affection (on her terms of course!) and will take off when she's over it! She also likes to talk but is not an incessant barker. She is house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. She loves to be both outside and inside. Sheba is a wonderful dog who is a lot of fun and can be quite entertaining! She needs that special person or family that can give her a healthy, well-balanced environment for her to thrive in. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, is up-to-date on rabies and booster vaccinations, and has been kept on preventative for worms and other parasites. Her adoption fee is $150. If you feel you are the right person to give Sheba the loving forever home she needs and deserves, please contact us today to schedule a meet and greet with this adorable little girl!

About For the Love of Paws K-9 Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We do this because we love dogs & there are way too many that need a loving home!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please call or email to set up a time to come meet our dogs. Please understand we are home-based & work full-time so appointments are necessary & are typically scheduled for evenings & weekends.

Our Adoption Process...

The first step is to fill out our adoption application. This is usually discussed during a verbal interview process. We then schedule a meet & greet for you / your family to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. If the meet & greet goes well & everything checks out, an adoption application & fee is then required. Once all paperwork is submitted & the adoption fee paid, your new baby is ready to go home!
