Hi, my name is Montana and my heart is as big as the state I was named after! I'm a big fawn girl with soft brown eyes. They say that eyes are the windows to the soul, and you can tell by my beautiful eyes that my soul must be pure and loyal.

I'm a country girl who loves to laze in the sun and play with my stuffies. I came into rescue from a Mennonite farm, who likes to "help" my family do things outdoors. I'm an earnest girl who tries hard to please--I'll do anything for you! I'm content to be with my people and am happy to greet human guests, both large and small. I would rather be the only canine in my family's life, although I can pass on the street politely. In fact, I love my daily walks through the quiet suburban neighborhood at my foster's house.

I like when people come to visit and pet me--and when I'm scared, I like to stay by whoever I know best. I'm a sturdy girl (what do you expect of a farm girl?) who is ready for her new family.

I'm good with kids over 12 but would prefer to be an only dog. I passed a cat test and lived briefly with cats for several weeks.

I like to give soft little kisses and snuggle up for pets.
