Nolan's Story...
Nolan is a 5 year old male retriever mix, weighing in at 73.4 lbs. He can stand to gain some weight. We are working on getting him to his normal weight of 85 lbs with the right food and and healthy treats. He is house trained, friendly and has a playful disposition.

As for his personality, as Nolan and I were pulling away from the transport area, he leaned in and gave me a sweet kiss on my cheek, as if to say, thank you for rescuing me. This boy has the most amazing smile. He is loving, likes to snuggle and soaks up all the love and affection you bestow on him. This sweet gentle giant, is energetic and soft mouthed, both in playing with my 4.5 month puppy and with me. He wouldn't do well left alone during the day. He would require another dog male/female. He enjoys the company of his foster brother during the day when his foster mom is away at work. he is definitely a family dog. He sleeps well on a fleece blanket beside his foster moms bed.

He deserves a *FOREVER *home and happily ever after!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nolan, a Denver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
