Contessa is a beautiful young Doberman Pinscher Mix who weighs about 65 lb. Her estimated birthdate is 4/1/13. She has been spayed, vaccinated and dewormed. She is microchipped, housetrained and crate trained. Gorgeous Contessa is a very loving, intelligent and moderately active. She is well behaved in the house, obedient and knows basic commands. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and horses. She is okay with older children. She loves water and the wading pool. She prefers to be indoors, but needs room to romp and play and is looking for a home with a large yard or acreage where she will be part of the family and allowed indoors. Experienced dog owner recommended who knows and understands the Doberman breed. Being a natural guard dog, Contessa is weary of strangers and takes time to warm up to, but is very loving and protective of her family. Contessa was rescued with a broken hind leg and had knee surgery in April 2016. She is fully recovered and ready to go to her loving forever home. $200 adoption fee, cash only, which is to help reimburse for a portion of expenses of dog rescue and rehabilitation. Adoption contract required. We are looking for adopters who are willing and able to care for this dog for its lifetime (10+ years). This dog is available to be fostered before adoption so you will have the time to see if the dog fits your situation. Location: Quail Valley/Menifee, Southwest Riverside County. Local adoptions only; within 75 mile radius because we deliver animal to its new home to do a home/yard check. We prescreen potential adopters before setting up a meeting.
