Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DIESEL is an 8 year old neutered chocolate male who weighs 83 pounds. He's a happy boy! He does great with being handled and loves attention, he does not act like he's 8 years old! He will happily bound up and down stairs with ease. He's very social. He likes to follow his humans around when he can. He is good with other dogs. He's an enthusiastic eater - gets all excited if you have treats or food -- but he's just happy about it! He's approved for kids aged 10+.
Update (7/17): Diesel is the perfect combination - he likes the company of his humans but is not overwhelming - just wants to be in the same room with you. He settles on the nearest dog bed and just chills with you. 2 walks a day are plenty for him - he gets very excited when the leash come out! He likes running around the backyard with a ball - he doesn't bring it back to you but with time he likely could be taught. He knows "sit, "paw", and "up". He is an all around great guy!
Update (7/08): Diesel is a handsome guy with a nice big, blocky head! He settled in with the resident dogs with ease. He is good with cats and just looked at them when he saw them. He walks well with an easy walk harness. His new family will be so lucky!
Update (6/27): Diesel is super sweet. He has great house manners and is easy going. He is good on leash and in the car. He will climb a four foot split rail with wire. Once over the fence, he searches out new friends and says hello.
Update (6/17): Diesel is not only incredibly handsome but super smart! Diesel spent his entire life outside before coming to Lab Rescue however, he loves and appreciates the benefits of being indoors and has impeccable house manners. There has been no chewing or need for crating. He is a very appreciative guy, who is easy to train. He is good on a leash and great in the car. Although they say he is 8 years... he acts and looks half of that age!! Foster Mom heard Diesel telling his Foster Brothers: "8 dog years is now the new 4!!
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
