My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB August 1, 2013

This is Honey, she is almost a year old and her 1st birthday is coming up on August 1st. She has beautiful colors as she is a mix between a tabby and a calico (A Tabico). She has beautiful stripes on her and small patches of orange all over. She has had a rough start to her life as she began out in the wild with her mom and her 7 other brothers and sisters. All of her brothers and sisters were trapped, rescued and adopted out very quickly. She was the last one to be rescued as she was smart like her mother and would avoid the trap. She would be seen bouncing around her mom and would follow her everywhere and was continuously learning everything from her. It was not until the following spring she was finally trapped. She had spent the entire winter out in the cold with her mom in a colony of cats. Her colony caretaker set out warming huts for her to keep warm and would feed her every day. Honey even started to come when she was called. If you shake a bag of her favorite candies and call Honey, she comes bounding out to you and will frantically run to get them when tossed.

Once Honey was trapped she was spayed and vaccinated. During her recovery she was staying in an office where she had a window view and a warm bed to sleep in. She loved to watch the birds and her caretaker making funny faces at her through the window. She now spends her days lounging in the sun or hunting down the red dot on the wall. She loves chasing anything that moves and is a very good hunter! She is still nervous around people and seems like she doesn’t know what she is supposed to do with her humans. She is a calm and quite girl who would do best in a quiet home with another kitty friend and one or two humans she can play with and protect from the red dot. Once she was able to experience what a warm bed and fresh food was she had no interest in going back to her past life, give her a chance to experience this in a place she can call home.
