Coa Coa's Story...
Coa Coa is a sweet little girl who we estimate to be around 16 months old and 7 lbs. She likes to sit with her foster mom and cuddle, she even likes to sometimes burrow. She likes to alert you to people outside, and has a bit of a territorial nature. Her foster mom is working with her to learn she doesn't need to guard the house. She is shy at first, but bonds well to one or two people. She does have territorial tendencies, and she gets nervous and tries to "protect" her human by barking when people are outside or come into the home to visit.

Coa Coa would do best in a quiet home that doesn't have a lot of visitors or children. She is looking for a mom/dad who can be loving but firm with her and teach her what is acceptable when visitors come over - but will also give her time to come out of her shell. She is so loving and cuddly when she gets to know her people - but she's slow to trust. Her foster mother adores her. She goes to the bathroom really fast when going outside to potty. She loves to go outside and explore! She is great on the leash and enjoys walking.

Fence/enclosed patio required for most dogs. We check your vet reference and fence. Dogs are current on vaccinations, HW negative, micro chipped, dental if needed and spayed/neutered. Email for quickest response.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coa Coa, a Shawnee Mission Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
