My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Older children
Good With Other Dogs: Josie currently lives with other dogs but needs to be watched closely when interacting with them. She would do best in a home as the only dog.
Good With Cats: No
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: None

Arrival story: Josie came from a city shelter where she caught the eye of our volunteer. Josie was outside romping in the play yard and we just couldn't leave this silly girl behind.

Approximate age / weight: 2 years old and 55 lbs.

Personality: What a character! Josie is a happy, spunky girl who always seems to have a smile on her face. We can guarantee that if you make Josie part of your family, the amount of smiling in your home will increase ten-fold for all family members. She is very affectionate and playful. Josie enjoys snuggling and being in contact with her people. She gets along with other dogs, loves going for walks, and enjoys a good belly rub before settling down at night. We should tell you that Josie is a great snuggler!

Josie is good at the vet's office, loves car rides, knows how to rock a tutu, knows basic commands, is crate and house-trained, enjoys a good chew toy, and walks pretty well in a harness.

Forever home: Josie would fit into various family situations. She would love a doggie sibling to be able to run and wrestle with but its not a requirement. A physically fenced yard is ideal.

Contact: Please contact suzpooz20@hotmail.com if you're interested in adoption awesome Josie!

Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - Adoption Process Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of
$225 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies -
$125 senior dogs (9 years +)
$275 for small breed dogs
$250 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar for the latest information. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
