My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Solomon
7 Year Old Male Classic Brown Tabby Maine Coon

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Solomon is very handsome boy. He is attached to his human companions and follows them from room to room, much like a dog. He is always waiting for his owner by the door when she gets home. He will sleep on the bed next to you if you let him. He is a characteristic Maine Coon, in that he scoops his food out of the food dish and sometimes even eats with his paws, much like a raccoon. He is very gentle and sweet and not noisy. He has been around many young children and has never bitten or scratched anyone. He is shy around large groups or new people, but after he warms up to you, he will be attached forever. He may not curl up on your lap, but he will sit right next to you wherever you go.

This was not always the case though. His owners bought Solomon about 2 years ago after a local breeder was done with him in her breeding program. He was in terrible shape- very skiddish, super scrawny, terrible fur. He hid under a dresser most days. Solomon is very sweet and gentle now and has come a long way since coming with his owners. After a month of TLC, he came out of his shell and became his “Moms” buddy.

It was recently discovered that Solomon’s owners asthmatic daughter is allergic to cats, so unfortunately, they feel it is best for her health to re-home Solomon.
Also, Solomon has had some intestinal problems. He has had a blood panel, test for hyperthyroid and a PCR test for parasites. All were clear. It is thought he has food allergies or food intolerance and he is on a grain-free, one carb, one protein food. His new owner will need to be committed to watching him and keeping him on a food that he can eat.

Solomon is neutered, due for his FVRCP booster and Rabies vaccine this summer, current on flea medication. He is litter box trained and never has accidents. He enjoys being brushed and combed, and gets along well with other cats as well as dogs. He has lived in his home with 3 small children and done very well. Solomon is in Rocklin.

If you would like more information on Solomon, please contact Karen at 925-200-6562 or by email at Aby_Lover87@yahoo.com. Please note that Solomon is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat rescue foster home but residing with his owner in Rocklin who is keeping him while he is placed in his new forever home. Adoption fee applies.
