My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Bonnie and I've recently moved into a foster home. I'm kind of unsure of things but I can definitely say that my foster home is a big improvement over the shelter. The shelter was very loud and scary and I am still adjusting to life on the outside. My foster family thinks I must have lived in a home at some point because I seem to be housebroken. I am a little unsure of new people and places, but once I stop worrying so much about going back to the shelter I should gain more confidence. Every day is a little better.

I've bonded with a few of the FOTA workers and volunteers, and of course my foster family. I've gotten to play with some kids since I met these nice FOTA people, and they were lots of fun. I'm looking forward to having some more kids visit me at the adoption house. It might be nice to have children in my forever home.

I have two doggie sisters in my foster home and I like to play with them. It's nice to have other dogs around to let me know that everything is OK. My foster home also has a cat. He doesn't seem very interested in me most of the time so I don't pay much attention to him. I mostly like to cuddle with my foster people or nap in a quiet spot when I'm indoors. I enjoy going outside to play with my foster family and the other dogs. I'm a pretty mellow girl, past all that crazy puppy behavior. I weigh just over 30 pounds so I don't take up much room and I don't make a whole lot of noise.

Like I said, things are definitely looking up for me, and I'm sure finding a forever home would be even better. If you think you might have that home, please contact my foster family at 225-936-2751 or email them at shansc@cox.net.
You can also meet me at the FOTA Adoption House at 8476 Highland Road. I'm there most weekdays between 11:30 and 5:30, and on weekends from 11:00 until 2:00.
