Juan's Story...
Hi everyone! I am a superfriendly boy named Juan, and it is great to meet you today! I am a lovely black and white cat, who has been here at the AHHS since March 2014. I was found as a stray, and I am now waiting for my forever family to come along and take me home! I am a relaxed, happy, all-around great cat, who loves people! I make friends in no time at all, and will show you lots of affection and kisses! I am a big purrer, and will let you know that I am very content. I would love a family that has time to play with me, and is ready for a lovebug of a guy to light up your life everyday!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juan, a Lafayette Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
