THIS IS JONESY....and he is my heart!! If I could have another dog, he would be it! Jonesy is a gorgeous, tri colored, 17 lb, 3 yr old, purebred Lhasa Apso. He has the most beautiful markings and is a complete doll. He came from the East Valley shelter, where he was dumped by his owners because he had a perianal hernia and they didn't have the money to pay for his surgery. Without it, he would die. We could not resist his handsome face and wonderful disposition. When he was in pain, he was a little snarky -- but wouldn't you be!? He had surgery and he is still recovering. He may need to be on medication for the rest of his life -- we are unsure at this point. But it's a small price to pay for living! Jonesy seems to be potty trained, but we can never guarantee. He loves to go for walks....plays with toys.... gives lots of kisses. He was a bit withdrawn when he first came to us, as he was uncomfortable and could not "poop." Once he knows you....he is your best friend! He is playful, loves other dogs, is very sociable and just a wonderful companion. Like I said, I would keep him if I could have another dog!! Jonesy would be fine with kids over 10 yrs old, in a home where there is another dog is best for him and a family who will love him like he will love you!! He is a gem.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
