Rudy's Story...
Rudy is a handsome young man. He is about 6 or 7 months old, of average size for a lab mix and is a very stunning and gorgeous boy. He has the personality to match. Rudy is great with other dogs and likes to romp with his canine buddies and play tug-o-war and catch me if you can and all the typical young boy games. He also does well with the resident kitties. Rudy is a people boy. He likes being around all types of people - men, women and children. He likes all the attention he gets and loves chasing the tennis ball whenever he can get someone to throw it for him. Rudy gets lots of good boy treats and takes them carefully so not to get your finger along with it. He is a good boy for his age and would be considered medium energy. Rudy would benefit greatly from basic obedience classes and he would be a great student and make his person proud. He is house trained and crate trained. Rudy has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. If you think you would be a good fit for this boy, please complete the online adoption application and indicate 'Rudy' in the notes section. This boy is ready and waiting to go home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
