Frieda's Story...
Meet Frieda! This senior girl found herself in a tough spot at a high kill pound, but she is now safe at ARF! Frieda has been given a second chance at life and is sweet and gentle to every person she meets. Frieda will make a great addition to any family. Frieda is a young senior who still enjoys walks and play time. If interested in Frieda please stop by the shelter to meet her.
** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frieda, a Berea Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Berea, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
