Trevor's Story...
Trevor would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that loving lap puppy. At just 10 week old and about 9 lbs (we anticipate Trevor being about about 35 - 40 lbs when full grown) he is so portable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a puppy is allowed. Through this socialization, Trevor will be a bonded and well-balanced adult Doodle. It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great well as so very adorable...end up in precarious situations. Trevor was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have?? This little dog is just so awesome with his whole life lying in front of him...a life in which he can bring so much joy to a special family. Trevor, as a young puppy is a blank slate waiting to learn about the world. With positive guidance, puppy socialization and positive reinforcement obedience classes, Trevor will become a well-behaved and very bonded companion. He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart! Trevor may be a bit shy initially at transport and rehoming is challenging for any puppy...but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine. We envision Trevor with an active, loving family who spends lots of time with their furry companion...he would be overjoyed with the companionship. It's not that Trevor is a needy or whiny guy...not at all...he just loves the company of his humans who respect him for all his wonderful traits. Trevor appears to love children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to kids 10+ who can be gentle and understanding that a puppy requires soft and kind handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery...Trevor would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then...maybe his favorite's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people.
We can't tell at this point if Trevor will shed at all. Goldendoodles have a 50% chance of shedding and it isn't yet evident which gene Trevor picked up. If he's provided with great nutrition and periodic baths/brushing, Trevor's coat will be cottony-soft and as shed-free as possible. Due to this uncertainty, Trevor isn't suggested for those with very severe allergy concerns.
Trevor will be arriving on transport in Denver on 7/3. Applications are currently being accepted for this cuddly and very loving family companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trevor, a Boulder Goldendoodle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Goldendoodle for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Goldendoodle puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Goldendoodle breeders who help with Goldendoodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
