Hello World, Buddy
We are Buddy and Sparky, a bonded pair. Our parents said to tell you that I, Buddy, am a cute little bichon of about seven who is a bundle of love and sweetness and that Sparky is eight and also a very sweet and loving little guy. We weigh 10 and 12 pounds respectively, are housebroken, smart and fully grown. (We aren’t quite as big as many of our bichon buddies but Mom says good things come in small packages!)
SparkyI am happy romping around playing by myself or playing chase with Sparky. Dad says I’m also a bit mischievous as I like to chase my toys - then pounce on them. He says it’s a game that I made up all by myself – and that I seem to be part cat! (Silly Dad, I’m a bichon!) Mom says that Sparky and I like to play with one another and, when we are finished, we lie down quietly and nap together- happy to be with one another.
Mom says I like to go on walks (so does Sparky) and to ride in the car. Dad says that I am super smart (did you know I know commands like ‘sit’,’ shake’, ‘roll over’ and ‘stay’ and that I stand at the door when it’s time to go potty? That’s pretty impressive. And if Mom or Dad don’t notice that I need to go out, I run and get them and tell them it’s my time! I also love to please people. In fact both Sparky and I LOVE to be with people! (And we give great doggy kisses, too!)
On a walk, sudden noises and movements may scare me, but Sparky is brave, so he reassures me. Well, after all, he is a wee bit older than I, so Sparky protects me and makes me feel safe.
Now for Sparky…. well Mom says he is a sweet little guy who is very affectionate, obedient, relaxed and very trusting. Sparky is more fearless as I am (I take a while longer to warm up to new people and situations.) Dad says that Sparky has a very sweet and loving spirit – and if you meet him in person, you will fall in love with his big brown eyes and all they communicate. Well, I think he’s pretty cute too but I don’t know that his eyes are more expressive than mine, Come on now, Dad.
We have been together for a number of years now but sadly some things have changed for Mom and Dad. Mom had to go back to work and they both have to take care of our sick grandpa. They feel badly about having to leave us alone for long periods of time. They know we have one another (and that’s a good thing!) but we would do better if we had our people with us all the time, like it used to be.
