Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cricket is a 6 year old "show bred" male beagle who is in need of a new home. At 15 inches tall and 30+ pounds, he is a sweet middle aged boy whose greatest "crime" was acting just like a beagle! His family did find the right place to turn him in though, because we adore this fun-loving breed and we are looking for adopters who feel the same way!
Cricket is housebroken and has been taught the joys of a dog door. He was a little confused at first, but finally gave it a go and now is a pro! He never had a pack of beagles to play with before but is catching onto the rules of the games. He loves the nightly "pack" leash-walk, so maybe those few extra pounds will be coming off soon! He is good at entertaining himself. With a favored toy in his mouth, he will prance through the house showing it off. His favorite activity though, as seen in his photos, is just hanging out near to where ever the humans are located.
Cricket has the run of the house and never gets into anything. He sleeps through the night in a doggie kennel in the master bedroom - and would probably love to sleep on the bed with you if you want him to! When invited to come up on the furniture, Cricket does like a good cuddle. He has very nice manners so is never demanding of your attention…just very happy to receive your loving! He can be a bit vocal with a beautiful bay when anyone approaches the property; therefore he would probably not be a good dog for an apartment. He grew up with kids in the house and seems to miss them. Some lucky family is going to hit the jackpot with this wonderful guy.
