Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ashland is part of a litter group of 6. Their mom, Faith, was rescued by Boarder Patrol employees. Faith was taken to a vet for evaluation and temporary boarding. After being there a few days they got a surprise -- 6 puppies were born. Faith and her puppies continued to be boarded at the vet's office until the puppies were 7 weeks old. At that point, the two runts of the litter, Austin and Ashland, were taken to a foster home. Faith and the remaining 4 puppies were taken to a boarding facility.
Ashland was adopted a few months later. She was with her adopters for only a month. When she left she was a happy go lucky puppy... she came back very scared and introverted. It is unknown what went on in her adoptive home, but Ashland now needs a family who will be VERY PATIENT with her and help her come out of her shell.
She returned to her previous foster home, which has helped her. She is very attached to her foster mom. She lives with several other puppies and adult dogs. She loves chasing and playing with the other dogs but is shy around most people, especially men.
