Jack's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jack's Story...
At the shelter, we see a lot of single dogs and a lot of moms with puppies, but it's not very often that we get a true family group turned over together.

Jack arrived at the shelter with Rosie (his "wife") a Beagle mix and their adult daughter, Ruby, who took after her father's body structure but didn't have the markings of either of her parents.

Their owner had had Jack and Rosie since they were tiny pups, so they grew up together, but not long afterward, their owner became ill and decided it was best to let his dogs go where they could get all of the care and attention they deserve.

Although it would be nice to see Jack and Rosie adopted together, we are NOT requiring that they stay together. Their daughter has already been adopted and is doing great by herself in her new home.

Jack is only 18 months old, and he's a very loveable guy. He gets along with everyone and anyone and soaks up any attention he gets. His ideal day is simply spending time with you, no matter what you might be doing.

We believe Jack is a Shepherd mixed with..... your guess is as good as ours. He is a bit underweight but should be around 55 pounds at his ideal weight. He's very easy to handle on the leash and loves going for walks.

You can meet Jack at the shelter Monday through Saturday 1pm to 7pm. He has already been neutered, heartworm tested, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped, so he's ready to join your family right away.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Struthers Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Struthers, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Struthers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Struthers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Struthers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Struthers paves the way for another one to be saved.
