Benny is one of the most polite and gentle “young men” that you might ever meet! He is very friendly but a bit shy with people. He would do best in a home with other dog(s). He is much happier and more confident when in the company of other dogs. He is about 1.5 years old.
Baby loves to play with other dogs! He enjoys when his teenage foster care helpers give him attention too! This gentle guy’s mother was abandoned and gave birth to him and his siblings in the wild. He has responded well to his leash training, but will need some additional training. Although a bit shy at a first introduction, he LOVES every dog he meets!

• A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference.
• If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.
• Volunteers will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters either on the phone or at the weekend event. As a policy, dogs are adopted to the best home, not the first application.
• If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time.

GENERAL VETERINARY CARE:
I have been:
~ spayed/neutered
~ microchipped (usually but not always)
~ dewormed
~ heatworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older)
~ up to date on all age appropriate shots
~ treated with a flea preventative
Benny has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian and all medical records will come with the adoption papers.
