Hi there. My name is Samurai. I am between 2-3 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs.
I was found as a stray last year in the East Liverpool area. I was hit by a car and a good samaritan found me and took me directly to the vet clinic. The vet clinic called the pound to see if they could treat me because I had head trauma and needed to be stabilized. Thankfully I didn't have any broken bones, but I did have to stay in the emergency room for a couple of nights. The pound okayed my stay at the vet and got me treated.
I did get adopted but a lot of things came up so I was sadly returned to the shelter recently.
I am a very sweet boy with people. I am good here at the pound and I was a great boy with my family that had adopted me as well.
I get along well with most other dogs, but I do not care for dominant males. I am a great boy, I just don't like being bossed around. My old family said that I also do well with cats. The cats weren't always my biggest fan because I like to try to play with them, but whatevs.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
