My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHAMP is a 9 yr old neutered yellow male who weighs 80 pounds. He's a sweet guy who has gotten little attention most of his life. He perked up after a few days at the shelter with all the attention he got from staff. He gets along very well with other dogs. Met a crazy, high-energy retriever mix and took it all in stride. Despite the retriever trying to "mount" him (manners!) Champ just stayed calm, cool and relaxed. Our evaluator and the shelter staff spent most of the time petting his head and rubbing his ears. He was thrilled to get the attention. He appears to have arthritis in his legs / hips, but shelter vet says he is moving and feeling much better after being on Tramadol for a few days. He's approved for kids aged 10 and up.

Champ's Story ~ Champ was given up by his heartless owners during what should have been his retirement years. He can't wait to start a most excellent Chapter 2 of his life!

From LR transporter: What a sweet older guy. No chance of him bolting either, this boy takes it slow and steady. He did wag his tail quite a bit when we arrived at the vet!
