Quinn is a pure-bred female Chihuahua, about a year and a half, and weighs approx. 6-7 lbs. She is sweet and dainty and has gorgeous brown eyes. She was given up because the people she lived with originally did not really want her after the daughter in the family outgrew interest in the dog. So Quinn was often left alone. Quinn loves all people, and very much enjoys being around people. She will follow you from room to room if allowed. She loves to play, but can also relax; i.e., lay on your lap or next to you on the couch for hours. She is fine on the leash, but could use more practice. With other dogs, Quinn is submissive, but still enjoys other dogs. She has never growled at other dogs even when they were being aggressive towards her. She likes to follow the "pack.” Also, she will sometimes initiate play with the other dogs. She also likes to play with toys.

Quinn is not destructive inside or outside. She loves rawhide "Chewies" but has never tried to chew on furniture or rugs, etc. She spent a great deal of time alone during her first year and a half, so she is used to being alone. However, now, she is with a foster mom who is home all day and night, so she has been known to whine a little when the foster needs to leave to run an errand. However, this issue is quite manageable.

Quinn does very well in her crate. She spends the entire night in her crate with no whining. She will also stay in her crate during periods of the day with no complaints. She goes potty outside as long as there is easy access. She does not use a doggy door at this time, but if left in a small area with a potty pad, she will use it.

Quinn is very affectionate. She loves to lie next to you on the couch and will shower you with as many kisses as you will let her. She is very sweet and does not seem to have an aggressive bone in her body. She is an alert barker who will bark at noises, but is otherwise quiet. She is sometimes vocal and will respond if spoken to. It is surprising how well she does with people and other dogs since she spent a great deal of her young life alone.

Quinn is up-to-date on her vaccinations, including rabies. She is vetted, de-wormed, a fecal test done, spayed, and also micro-chipped. Her baby canines never fell out, so these were extracted, along with four other “extra teeth” (with pure-bred Chihuahuas, it is very common that they have too many teeth in their small mouths, so oftentimes, these extra teeth need to be extracted). Now that she has had these teeth removed, her facial appearance is a bit softer around the mouth (photos were taken pre-extractions). Quinn is a true sweetheart who deserves a home with someone who will love her and appreciate her.
