Abby's Story...
My name is Abby, I am a smaller tabby that was rescued from the pound with 6 of my brothers and sisters, it is proving difficult to find someone who wants to take me home and I have no idea why! I am such a good girl. I love to play with my sibling but I also take well to being held and I never show my claws! Sometimes I even give cute little love licks. Those taking care of me have done a good job socializing me and I do well with new cats and even do alright with dogs. Please come and meet me, and maybe even take me home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Birmingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
