Teddy's Story...
Hi! My name's Teddy and I'm a german wirehair pointer mix. They're guessing I'm around 2 years old. I'm good with other dogs, and cats, and I love kids. I'm also housebroken, crate trained, and ride well in a car. I'm a great young guy looking for a great new home, could it be yours?

Like all the other dogs at the shelter I'm up to date on shots, neutered, and have a microchip. If I sound like a good fit for your family, please come meet me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2.

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Youngwood German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
