Chip is a male Border Terrier mix puppy only 2-3 months old. He has a wispy, medium length, rich butterscotch colored coat with touches of black on the tips and around his face. His coat is low shedding. Chip currently weighs 7 pounds and should reach an adult weight of approximately 15-18 pounds. He is a delightful little guy, full of personality, very friendly and outgoing. He is super affectionate and wiggles with joy when you pet him and will snuggle nicely when you hold him. Chip is excellent with children and tons of fun. He loves to play and his silly puppy play is gentle and amusing. Chip is good with other dogs and he has lots of confidence for a pup so young. You can take him anywhere and he makes friends instantly, with people and with other dogs. Chip is well behaved inside the home and is a happy go lucky, merry little boy. He bops around entertaining himself and is always inquisitive as to what you are doing. He will gladly participate in any and all activities and loves trips to the dog park, beach, picnics, kids games, you name it. Chip is a healthy puppy, puppy pad/paper trained, and learning how to walk on leash already. He is super healthy and well-adjusted. We rescued Chip from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter. He is going to make an amazing family pet. Chip is ready for his new forever home today!

Chip’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, and DEFLEAED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Chip is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Mary, Jerry and Holly and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHIP, a Newport Beach Border Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Border Terrier puppy from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier breeders who help with Border Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
