Daisy's Story...
This beautiful girl is Daisy, a 4 year old cropped and docked, Black and Tan dobergirl. She was surrendered to us by the family of her owner who no longer wanted her. They were fearful for Daisy’s life if they could not find her a new home. So one of our volunteers intervened and brought Daisy to us. Although it does not appear Daisy was ever physically abused, she has spent much of the last year in her crate and probably not given very much attention.

Daisy absolutely loves people and any attention she can get from them. She has been around many strangers since coming to us and everyone who has met her thinks she’s the sweetest little girl. She has been in foster with other dogs and generally does well with them. However, she can be a little bit dominant as she has never shared the little bit of attention she did get. She’s very smart and listens very well so she responds well to correction. Therefore she’s gradually learning the correct way to play with other dogs. She has been around cats in the past and has ignored them as long as they aren’t aggressive towards her.

Daisy had not been to the vet since she was a puppy but luckily she is very healthy and has now been spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Daisy had little exposure to children over her lifetime and can be a little nervous around them. Because of this, it's best that she go to a home with kids 10 or older. Daisy is eager to please, eager for love and eager for her true forever home that will absolutely adore her as much as she does them.
