My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Madison: 9 yr old black and tan female, 13.5 lbs, docked tail natural ears, owner give up. AKC papers available

Hi, my name is Madison, but you can call me Maddy. Pleased to meet you. I’d like to tell you a little about myself. Yes, for starters, I am 9 years young and I am vision impaired (my former owners did not take very good care of me, but lucky for me, my foster mom rescued me). I can see still see shadows and the only time it bothers me, is when the sunlight hits my eyes and I get lost in the back yard but when my foster mom calls me, I come running. Trust me, I can still find my food bowl and if you give me a stuffed animal, I will run and play keep away with you. I love playing ball, tug of war, and of course cuddling is an Olympic sport for me. I love nothing more than to lay next to you or in your lap while you watch TV. I love car rides, long or short, and will sit or lie down and snooze until we reach our destination. Did I mention I am President of the Neighborhood Watch Group and the Welcoming Committee? That’s right, I will alert you when someone comes to the door and will welcome them with open paws. Yes, I do have my faults and what min pin doesn't. I don’t like to be crated, but you don’t have to crate me as I won’t make in your house, as I am also President of the National Federation for the Backyard Fertilization Club. Yep, I’ll always go the door to let you know when I have to water and fertilize the lawn. The back end business is always done outdoors. And last but not least, I will allow you to sleep with me but just to make it clear, I am Vice President of Bed Hogs Unlimited. My foster mom is President. (ha-ha) If you want to adopt, please fill out an application at www.minpinrescue.org. I’ll be waiting for you.

Notes from foster mom: Madison is a sweet girl, but due to her vision loss, she can startle easily and is not recommended for children, The ideal home for Madison would be one with a mature person and someone who is home more often. Madison can over eat and needs to stay on a regimented diet and needs to stay on eye drops the rest of her life.
