Hi it's me Velma, a 7 year old vixen! I am in the care of CEBR now but it wasn't an easy journey to get here. I was picked up on the streets down pretty far south of here. Living on the streets is no place for a dog. There are a lot of dangers out there and food and water are hard to come by. But finally I was picked up by some nice people and taken to a shelter. They scanned me for a microchip and lucky me I had one. I waited and waited at that shelter, but my family never came to claim me. I guess they never really loved me. But the good news is, the shelter I was staying at knew who would love me and take care of me until my forever home could be found. Chicago English Bulldog Rescue drove down to get me and I have been enjoying being pampered ever since!
I went to a vet and received all my shots, they needed to pull some teeth because of where I came from my health care had been a little neglected. I am now in a foster home getting love and attention. My foster mom says I'm pretty easy going and very sweet. I get along with my canine foster sisters even though one is not so friendly to me. I just ignore her because I'm so happy to be here, I'm eating good food and could stand to add a few pounds, how many girls can say that? They tell me I'm 7 years old but I feel much younger. I can be very playful and enjoy going for walks. A yard would be great to run and play in and another dog would also be fun. I also like to just relax when everyone in the house is also relaxing. I will just go hang out in my crate and take a nap or lay on the cool kitchen floor. So some of the great things about me; I'm potty trained, in good health and for a bulldog I am low maintenance. So if you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky gal......I'm her!
