My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Savannah is a beautiful 1 year old Plott hound/beagle mix. This girl is awesome - the most versatile dogs you could ask for. At 35 lbs she is the perfect size for a family with younger children. She loves to play but is also very happy to curl up in your lap. She is a low energy dog with minimal exercise needs (great for an apartment or home with small yard). While she doesn't need a large yard, she is completely trustworthy off lead and would be an excellent companion in a farm home. She loves tagging along, helping her foster mom do chores around the farm and is trustworthy with livestock, chickens and cats. She is wonderful with other dogs (both large and small) and would fit into a home with other dogs just as well as she would do as an only dog. Savannah is housebroken and crate trained.

We are a 501(c)3 Rescue operating in the VA, MD, DC, and WV areas - with the ability to adopt out of state. The adoption fee for our adults is $125.00. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and HW negative prior to adoption. Please visit our website - www.openheartsrescue.org for a copy of our application.
