Courtesy post Bentley's Story...
Bentley is almost 6 years old. He is well trained on a leash, house-trained, does really well with all other animals and has lived with cats before. He is not food aggressive. He is neutered and current on shots. Currently he spends the days outside and is inside at night, but only because of the situation with their baby (doesn't like it).

The family started working with a trainer four months before their baby was born, and continued to work with this trainer for months after the baby arrived, without improvement. Bently is fine with other children, though.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Courtesy post Bentley, a Kansas city Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Kansas city, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Kansas city.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kansas city already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kansas city breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kansas city paves the way for another one to be saved.
