Patti's Story...
Hi! My name is Patti and I was rescued with my 4 siblings from Animal Services on our last day of stay by the awesome peeps from St Francis! I am also an active kitty like my sister Pippy and like to explore and play with my toys. I am a gorgeous black kitty with beautiful green eyes. My favorite pastimes include playing laser tag, chasing the kitty balls and playing with the shoelace. I love to chase around my littermates and play with my foster Mom’s older kitties (boy, can they be lazy!) I like to be petted and will start to purr as soon as I am picked up. I can be a little squirmy and want to be put down so I don’t miss out on any playtime or exploring. I am looking for a loving home with a kitty playmate and super cool humans! Please make me part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patti, a Tampa American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
