Calliope's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Calliope's Story...
We just got Calliope two weeks ago when someone found her on the side of a country road and took her to the vet to see if anyone could take her. The vet called us and we said yes. She was vaccinated and wormed and will now get her second shot and spay this week. She is about 5 months old and weighs about 25 lbs. She probably won't be more than 40 lb when grown. We are only guessing at her breed but she looks like a redbone baby with a little fatter face so we think maybe bloodhound. She is beyond sweet and all of the other dogs here love her. If you are interested in more information about this dog, or you would like to apply, you can contact lorainecm@comcast.net or you can paste the following link into your browser. http://www.poochesonthemove.net/one-more-last-chance-rescue.html
It will answer most of your questions and you can also access an application to apply from there. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calliope, a Allentown Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
